Qualifications

Javier Lazcano is Tax Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).

He has attended various in-company courses provided by Grant Thornton International, such as Bilateral Treaties (Perú), Tax Accounting (Puerto Rico) and Expatriates -Levels I, II and III- (Panamá). He also has a certification in English from the Education First Institute (EF) having attended a six-month training course in Boston, US in 2008.

He is a professor of Tax Theory and Technique I and II at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the UBA, in the Chair of Prof. Humberto Diez and a lecturer in the different Tax Cycles of the Professional Council in Economic Sciences of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CPCECABA).

Javier is vice president of the CPCECABA local and provincial taxes subcommittee.

Experience

Javier has more than 25 years of professional experience developed at Grant Thornton and other international firms. He is part of Grant Thornton Argentina since 2003 and Tax Partner since 2020.

He is the partner in charge of the firm’s Expats practice.

He has been involved in tax assignments for clients from several industries such as agriculture, telecommunications, consumer goods and forwarders.
