Eliana Gatica is Audit Supervisor at Grant Thornton Argentina. She is a Certified Public Accountant graduated from the Universidad Nacional de San Juan (UNSJ) and has a postgraduate degree in Specialization in Strategic Management of Information Systems and Technologies from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA).
She is an instructor of specialized in-company courses in auditing, internal controls and LEAP methodology. She is part of the Grant Thornton Argentina’s team of instructors in audit procedures, internal control, LEAP methodology, LEAP tool and induction of new Audit Division members.
Eliana is part of the LEAP team in Argentina and collaborates with the implementation of the LEAP tool in the region.
Eliana has more than five years of professional experience performing Financial Statement external audits. As Supervisor, she leads financial audits of clients from various industries that file reports under Argentine regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP and UK GAAP.
Within her team, she is responsible for planning audits under international standards, with risk identification and assessment, evaluation of internal control under COSO framework and execution of substantive tests and controls focused on design and effectiveness.
Eliana provides services to clients of various industries such as manufacturing, meatpacking, mining, and commercial airlines. Some of her most relevant clients at Grant Thornton Argentina are Minera Andina del Sol SRL, Swift Argentina S.A., FB Líneas Aéreas S.A., Ampacet South America S.A. and Azul Natural Beef S.A.
