Daniel Bertone (1959 - 2024)

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform the death of Daniel Bertone, Founding Partner of Associated Auditors and Partner at Grant Thornton Argentina until his retirement in 2021, on July 17.

We at Grant Thornton Argentina send our warmest condolences to Daniel's family and friends at this difficult time and wish him a peaceful rest.

Daniel will be remembered fondly throughout the Grant Thornton community, especially by those who had the opportunity to draw on his knowledge and experiences, which today are testimony to his valuable legacy at our firm.

 

About Daniel

Daniel completed his studies at the Instituto Cooperativo de Enseñanza Superior -ICES- and continued his professional training during his extensive professional career in the financial industry. He developed his career in computer systems auditing, business process reengineering, communications and security, operations, and internal and external auditing.

He was a member of various committees at financial institutions as internal auditor and led teams sharing his knowledge with several generations of professionals. At Grant Thornton Argentina, he served as Head of Audit and IT Consulting for financial entities and businesses.

Previously, he worked in management positions at provincial and regional cooperative banks. He held management positions at Banco de Crédito Comercial SA, Banco Rural de Sunchales Coop. Ltdo., Banco Bica Coop. Ltdo. and Banco de Santa Fe SAPEM, where he served as Deputy General Manager with more than 600 people under his charge.

In the non-financial sector, he worked on process reengineering projects, computer systems design and consulting for the implementation of ISO standards, among others, in health institutions/sanatoriums, mutuals and service companies. He was also manager of international projects teams at Fit & Proper.
